So, naturally, we thought we would share some of our favorite ways to propose to your special someone this Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day Proposal Ideas
Get lovey-dovey and inspired with these fun ideas:
Propose Somewhere Special
As a couple, you are likely to have many places that are special to you and your special someone. If you propose somewhere that has meaning, this will be a sweet and significant way to pop the question. Not to mention, how special will it be to go back to that spot year after year to celebrate your engagement proposal? For the rest of your lives together this place will forever hold weight and merit in your hearts.
Make it Edible
Some people say the way to their heart is through their stomachs, well if this is you and your love – think about letting food be the showcase of your proposal. Either think about going to a cooking class together or going to an amazing restaurant you have been dying to try. You can even get creative and incorporate the ring somewhere into the meal! If attending a restaurant, call ahead to chat about any Valentine’s Day proposal plans and see if they are on board to pull off your surprise. Just remind the staff how valuable the ring is and your trust in them is at an all-time high! Also, be careful not to let your soon-to-be fiance eat the ring!
Make a Scene
For all you totally cute hams out there, this idea is for you! These proposals go big and will let the whole world know that an important question is being popped. When dreaming about what kind of scene you want to make – think about these: making a personal movie and showing it in a theater, asking at a sporting event or concert, or throwing a fireworks-filled party! The sky’s the limit! The bigger the better on this one! One caveat to this – ask yourself, does your other half like all of this attention, too? While being the star of the show may be right up your alley, your soon-to-be fiance may be put off by all of the attention.
Get Interactive
This is for those of you who want to involve friends and family members in your Valentine’s Day proposal. There are so many ways to include special people on this occasion. If you want people involved, think about throwing a party to celebrate after you propose. You can also pick a proposal site that has a special place for people to hide so they can watch and take pictures, too!
Just You Two
If you are a homebody and just want to do an intimate proposal, that is a great option! There can be a lot of romance that happens at home or in a private place. Thinking about setting the scene and using romantic elements like flowers and candles is a good idea. Dress up the cozy area so the proposal really feels uniquely special.
