With the year going so fast we thought it was high time we talk about some of Ma Maison’s Favorite 2021 Wedding Trends!

 

Thanks to Covid, weddings have changed a little bit in the last year or so. However, in lots of ways, weddings have become an even more special celebration and we love the details and elements that are really shining right now.

 

Here are the Ma Maison’s Favorite 2021 Wedding Trends:

 

Weekday Weddings

Prior to Covid, weekday weddings were a little more sparse. However, more and more we are getting requests for weekday weddings. Weekday weddings are a nice choice because it can give you the rest of the week to celebrate and relax. Plus, it usually means your guests will be free– whereas weekend availability might be a little bit harder for them to make work. Lastly, it makes finding your venue a little easier too! If you are open to having a weekday wedding, usually many venues have openings so you really get your choice of the cream of the crop!

 

Micro Weddings

Micro weddings and elopements have really taken a front seat in the wedding world since 2020. Smaller, more intimate celebrations and ceremonies really let couples concentrate on the love. Not to mention, these celebrations tend to be more budget friendly and you can have the choice to have a larger celebration later on. Why wait to say I do? Wed your way! If you want to marry now, a smaller celebration may be the perfect thing for you!

 

Unique Food Displays

Food is one of the most important things to your guests when it comes to their experience at your wedding — so why not have fun with the food and make a statement? From Donut Luges to interactive build your own food stations, there are so many fun options that can get your guests involved and excited! Pick something yummy and make it fun! You will love hearing the feedback and having the great memories and pictures of the unique experience.

 

The Natural Beauty Look

In the past few years, natural beauty has taken over the bridal scene and we are loving it. Rather than a dramatic hairdo or bold eyes, we see brides favoring warmth and natural elements in their hair and make up! We love the use of florals in their hair or the simplicity of a blush lip. It really gives brides that special wedding glow and the natural look will be something that translates in pictures for years to come!

We are big believers in cakes and all kinds of sweets! So when it comes to your wedding, why not have lots of options instead of just one? By having smaller cake(s) or multiple cakes, you give yourself and your guest options to taste and try! Plus this is a fun way to get to choose all kinds of designs to showcase too. Let your reception be just as sweet as the day is!

More and more we have our couples bringing in entertaining experiences for their guests on their wedding day and it is so cool! We have seen petting zoos, tarot card reading, and live artists all making a splash in the Austin wedding scene! Guests love a good time and with the reception being all about the celebration, why not give them something else to do other than dance? They will love it! These experiences are all the rage!
