A cloudy day couldn’t take their joy away! Annelisha and Steven had the most beautiful green and white elegant Austin wedding and we’re so excited to share it with you. While florals were the focal point, nothing could distract from their very tangible love for one another.

We get the honor of meeting couples during their engagement and wedding planning process but aren’t a part of their lives prior to their hunt for a venue. With that said, we always love to hear our couples’ love stories, and Steven and Annelisha have an “it was always you” type of story that is so romantic. They met in high school and dated for two years, then spent ten years on separate paths. Through that time, they still remained friends and relied on each other even if it had been a long time since they spoke last. In 2019, they realized they were better together than apart and entered back into a relationship. From there they committed to be together forever and we’re so grateful they chose Ma Maison for their Austin wedding!

Now, let’s chat about their special day! From the beginning, they knew they wanted their theme to be “Heaven on Earth”. To them, that meant earthy with celestial and heavenly hints incorporated into their design. Their color palette consisted of olive green and white with pops of orange. Something on the top of their wedding priority list was amazing flowers! The overall vibe and aesthetic were really important to them, and they believed they could help set their desired mood with the help of showstopping floral arrangements. Once you see these photos, you’ll see they definitely succeeded with this goal!

Their biggest piece of advice for couples planning their wedding is to enjoy the engagement as much as possible and to hire a wedding planner. We definitely agree with both of those suggestions!
