When you think of Texas, do you think of rain? No? Us either… but nevertheless it happens! Luckily, here at Ma Maison we welcome rainy days because we have multiple options when it comes to rainy day weddings. Here are our specific Rain Day Plans at Ma Maison:

 

First and foremost we have different backdrops available for your ceremony in case it is pouring during your ceremony time. We have the following guaranteed dry spaces that can home your ‘I do’s’

 

The Chapel: Our newest addition to the property, the Chapel provides a gorgeous backdrop with huge windows that will still give you that gorgeous lighting even if it is raining! Not to mention, there is a great waiting room for the bridal party if you want to hide from the rain ahead of the ceremony.

 

The Trellis: If you are still interested in an outside feel for your ceremony, the Trellis is a great spot for you! There are multiple ways the space can be designed and laid out that really makes it feel special and romantic for your vows. Fully covered, you will be safe from the rain here too.

 

The Great Hall: We know you might be thinking, but what about the reception decor? Not to worry! Our team plus the catering team is ready to do a switch over from ceremony decor to reception decor in just a matter of minutes if you decide to get married in the Great Hall plus house your reception there. We have had many gorgeous Great Hall weddings happen in there that are absolutely amazing.

 

The last thing we want you to worry about on your big day is rain, so our team is prepared and ready to go the day of your big event. We watch the weather closely and make the call to change from outside to inside at the last possible minute.

 

Something special we do too when it rains around here: we collect the rain in a sweet little mason jar and give these to the couple when their wedding is done. The thought behind collecting the drops is this: if you want you can use that water on the day you baptize your child OR they can simply be a sweet reminder of your big day. Either way, we hope the collected rain drops make you smile anytime you see them.
