Is there not a more romantic place to meet than Hawaii, because that is exactly where Kendra and Josh’s love story began.  While Kendra was attending nursing school, Josh was a crewmember on a tourist catamaran on Waikiki beach. A friend of Kendra’s was a surf instructor in the same cove as Josh worked out of. Kendra went to go surfing with her friend and met Josh while he was working. The two went on a few dates, but it was time for Kendra to graduate and move back to the mainland. They stayed in contact and would chat every once in an awhile. It was not until Josh moved back to California and Kendra was living in Oregon that they reconnected. Josh was visiting his sister in Seattle and stopped in Oregon to say hi to Kendra. The rest was history after that visit!

With a short engagement, the newly engaged couple wanted an intimate affair that was laid back and easy going.  The wedding colors ranged from deep purple to reds to whites.

With a chilly December wedding day, all 125 guests arrived and found their seat under the enclosed Trellis, waiting for the wedding ceremony to begin.  The lovely nuptials were followed by the cocktail hour with the reception in the Great Hall.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Strandmark ran through their sparkler exit and were whisked away to their honeymoon in Jackson Hole Wyoming!
