Serving in leadership roles at Houston First Baptist Church in a bible study class, Logan and Jenise met in October of 2014 when they came together for a meeting. While dating the two enjoyed hanging out with friends, working out together, taking walks, and relaxing with one another. Logan and Jenise started a new tradition with two of Jenise’s close friends and their husbands. During rodeo season in Houston, the couple meets with their friends and enjoys going to the cook-offs as a group. Jenise, 27, is a kindergarten teacher and Logan is, 24, is an engineer for an oil and gas company.

After a little over a year of dating, Logan decided to pop the question. Scheming with Jenise’s roommates, Logan convinced Jenise that he would be busy all day. Meanwhile, Jenise’s roommates suggested they take a few pictures in the neighborhood before the church’s Christmas party.  Little did Jenise know, Logan was waiting for his fiancée to be with a table and flowers set up. Logan got down on one knee and proposed! After Jenise said “Yes!”, the newly engaged couple headed to a surprise party Logan had planned at Jenise’s mother’s house.

Being engaged for about seven months, the two tied the knot on July 15th, 2016. Getting married in a warmer month in Texas, the couple opted to have their wedding ceremony indoors inside The Great Hall. Over 200 guests watched as the Jenise and Logan said their vows to each other and became Mr. and Mrs. Logan Millsaps.

Looking for elegant meets comfortable style, Jenise and Logan chose navy and blush as their wedding colors. Ten groomsmen and ten bridesmaids accompanied Logan and Jenise on their special day. The men wore classic navy suits with American flag socks while the ladies wore taupe beaded chiffon gowns and held white and blush blooms. After the dinner buffet had been served, dancing ensued. The crowd loved the customized sunglasses favors that were handed out on the dance floor. After hours of busting moves, the wedding day came to an end. Guests lined up as the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Logan Millsaps walked through their sparkler exit. The next day, Jenise and Logan left to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to relax on the sunny beaches.
