It was a perfect 70-degree sunny day for our 4th annual open house this past January. The venue had over 300 guests comprised of brides and grooms, friends, family, vendors, and even past Ma Maison married couples! A luxury style of black, white, and gold was carried throughout the event with accents of acrylic designed by Tracy Collins Events.

Walking to the left to the Trellis, a s’mores station was waiting for everyone, inviting them to roast their own flavored marshmallow with either mint or cookies and cream with white and milk chocolate. Who know s’mores could have so many options?! The fire in the fire pit was roaring all evening.

Our Trellis lawn was set up al fresco style for a sample rehearsal dinner. Marquee’s rentals of their vineyard tables with Wild Bunches lush white floral table arrangements were complimented by Austin Event Lighting’s bistro string lights above the tablescape. Poetry artist, Scott James, offered custom written poems to all who simply gave him a word to write about.

The Trellis was overflowing with savory treats and plenty of drinks! The Bust Yo’ Chops Grilling Station and Brew Bar was located in the Bridal Garden featuring sizzling bone in tomahawk ribeye accompanied by winter root vegetables paired with a selection of brews.

Small plates of bone marrow, wild boar, and roasted duck were paired with the perfect whiskeys. Crave staff was passing numerous bites including trifled mason jar salads, goat cheese tartlets, stuffed merlot mushrooms, ahi tuna tartare, and fontina polenta and wild mushroom ragu on acrylic servers provided by E.B. Creative.

A grilling station on the Stone Patio offered gulf grilled oysters, bacon wrapped shrimp and panzanella bruschetta. Steel City Pops was also available offering a chilling treat featuring all natural and gluten free frozen bites of banana, coconut, lime, and strawberry lemonade flavors.

Carrying in with this lavished theme, Unique Design + Events draped the entire ceiling creating a soft atmosphere in our Great Hall. Marquee’s bogart tables were adorned with white, black, and gold table settings and featured Flora Fetish’s modern designs. Another bar was stationed in the middle of the room serving signature cocktails of the Ma Maison Whiskey Cuatro and the Tracy Collins Wine Cooler. Bar menus were placed on the white dance floor provided by Mike’s Dance floor and even on the bar itself!

Oh Happy Day photo booth was placed in the left wing of the Great Hall to snap a few selfies of the guests passing through. Simon Lee was located on the opposite side sampling various (and delicious) cakes for open house attendees. Sketch artists Stephanie Jimenez drew a real-life sketch as the event was happening! Soft jazz music was performed in the reception mock-up space by Cadaques Music managed by Austin Gigs Entertainment.

Mini massages were offered in our bridal suite by Wedding Wellness to relieve some of that wedding planning stress for all guests as well as a few of us wedding vendors! A’ Cherie Couture showed off multiple custom gowns while Texas de la Rosa provided mini make up makeovers. Sarah Sallis was ready and prepared to make some hair magic happen.
