Kristy Eastman went to work like it was just another day, she received an invoice from a guy named Ben Cline who was looking for a quote. From that moment on, the two could not stop talking. Kristy had no idea what Ben even looked like, but she knew that he was special. After countless hours over Skype, Ben booked a flight for Kristy to go to Maryland and that was the beginning to a beautiful relationship.
One special memory the pair shares is when Ben sent an entire case of Diet Coke to Kristy. Before he had even known what she looked like, Kristy told Ben she had a major addiction to Diet Coke. Ben said that if he bought an entire case, that Kristy had to go out with him then, she responded with an “Of course!” Ben, not about to let Kristy down, copied the address from Kristy’s email signature and shipped an entire case of Diet Coke to her office. The box weighed 38 pounds and cost over $40 to ship! Needless to say, Kristy was very intrigued and certainly decided Ben deserved a date.
In December of 2014, Kristy’s stepfather became ill and needed to be hospitalized (he is doing well now so no worries!). Family plans had fallen through so Ben, looking for a pick me up for Kristy, asked if she would like to look at some diamonds. To which Kristy replied with a “YES!” The couple chose a ring together and that night on the 27th of December, Ben proposed after dinner under amassive Christmas tree in Dallas. The moment was extra special to the couple because the holiday was very important to Kristy and Ben grew up on a Christmas tree farm.
While the two were dating, they enjoyed running together, visiting local wineries, traveling, and spending time in D.C. Kristy loves to read and collect new wines while Ben enjoys attending hockey games and binge watch Netflix.
For their two-year engagement, the two took the planning process slow and kept organized. The soon to be Mr. and Mrs. were looking at having a very lush romantic and timeless wedding with colors of blush and gold. One of the most important aspects of the wedding for Kristy and Ben was to have big and beautiful florals. The couple wanted to create a soft atmosphere for their guests.
The two were united in marriage with five groomsmen and five bridesmaids by their side, under The Trellis at Ma Maison. After the cocktail hour had ended, the attendees proceeded to The Great Hall for dinner and dancing. As the evening drew to a close, the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cline walked through their tunnel of sparklers. The next day, Kristy and Ben left for Greece for their honeymoon! While visiting the new country, they stayed in Santorini, Mykonos, and Athens.
