Creative Alternatives to the Traditional Bridal Bouquet Toss

Tips and Advice

wedding

Your wedding is a day that is unique to you and your partner. Therefore, each detail, from your linens to your flowers, should be chosen to complement your personal tastes! After all, a once in a lifetime event should showcase one of a kind details.

Take a Look at Summer Wedding Myths That You Can Ignore

However, know that you can add even more creativity to your big day by creating your events to be unique as well!

We love when couples showcase creativity throughout their wedding! That’s why, here at Ma Maison, as an Austin wedding venue, we have gathered some creative alternatives to the traditional bridal bouquet toss that you could choose to highlight on your own big day. Would you like to discover what these alternatives are? If so, be sure to read on:

  • Lock & Key

Instead of tossing your bridal bouquet, lock it up! Choose a lovely box, place your bouquet within it, and lock it up with a pad lock. Then, present all of the single ladies with a key. Whoever’s key opens the box will then be gifted with the bridal bouquet!

  • Anniversary Dance

An anniversary dance is a lovely alternative to the traditional bridal bouquet toss, and will allow you to evoke the true meaning of love among your wedding dance floor! Have all of the married couples gather and begin dancing. After a little time has passed, your emcee will then ask those who have been married five years or less to leave the dance floor, followed by ten years, and so on. Then, the couple who has been married the longest will be the last to remain, and will receive the bridal bouquet!

  • Ribbon Cutting

The ribbon cutting is a fun twist on the traditional tossing of the bridal bouquet! All you must do is tie a bunch of ribbons to your bridal bouquet, and ask all of the single ladies to take one. You will then cut one ribbon at a time, and whoever is left holding the last ribbon “catches” the bouquet!

Your wedding deserves to be a unique experience! These are just a few creative alternatives to the traditional bridal bouquet toss that you could highlight on your own big day.
