This past Sunday, January 15th, we held our 3rd-anniversary party and open house. Despite the rainy weather and chilly temps, Ma Maison was packed with brides and grooms, friends, family, and vendors to check out the spectacular transformation of the wedding venue. Ironically, the design genius behind the gorgeous master plan, Tracy Collins Events, coordinated the event to bring the indoors out and the outdoors in! Guests were greeted by lush greens mixed with gold accents and white lounge furniture to complete the garden party inspiration.

Crave Catering provided delicious food and adult beverages for guests to enjoy. Out on the Trellis, the Salad Bar had three different salads for guests to sample. T’s Favorite consisted of spinach, figs, marcona almonds, and crumbled bleu cheese topped with a warm bacon dressing. The Southwest Zest was comprised of tomatoes, cilantro, red onions, black beans, grilled corn, and southwest tortilla chips with a jalapeno ranch dressing. The Perfect Pear was made with poached pears, crumbled Texas chevre, pecans with chardonnay vinaigrette drizzled on top.

The Grits bar had creamy, cheesy grits topped with taso ham, red-eyed gravy, shrimp, and a creamy creole sauce. The dinner buffet had an array of tantalizing dinner entrees that included a stuffed southwest chicken with chipotle cream sauce, stuffed chicken picatta roulade drizzled with lemon butter caper sauce, a smoked beef served with spicy mustard with sides of buttery mashers and caramelized onions. The chili bar had two different types of chilis, one beef tenderloin chili and another white bean vegetarian chili with optional shredded white cheddar cheese, crème fraiche, pickled red and green jalapenos, chopped green onions, and hand cut tortilla chips to put in your choice of chili. The brats bar offered three different types of brats, pork, beef, or chicken that was served with a Shiner Bock mustard with beer cheese and chips.

The three specialty drinks Crave prepared were the Ma Maison Mule, made with whisky, ginger beer, and fresh lime. The Tracy Collin’s Fizz was comprised of pear puree, vanilla bean, vodka, and club soda. Prickly pear puree, tequila, and fresh lime created the Crave Margarita. The beers and brews served at the ever were Bud Light, Shiner Bock, and Heineken. The wine tasting stations included Ma Maison’s silver white and red wines, McPherson Les Copains, Maisonary Marsanne, Quinto Malbec, Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Grigio.

Abia Tobacconist was on the back of the Trellis rolling out cigars for guests as a special treat. Ma Maison provided a table of rental options to show brides and grooms the additional decor pieces that can be offered them. The Bloody Buddy Bar offered vodka-infused bloody marys for guests to create their own with all the fixins. Due to the rain, the outdoor ceremony site that was planned for the Lake View ceremony site was moved to the balcony in the Great Hall. Church pews were brought in and Ma Maison’s wooden cross was set up to recreate a traditional wedding ceremony. Wild Bunches Floral decorated the space with their floral expertise. Inhouse Photobooth was also up in the balcony for guests to snap a commemorative photo.
