Gaby is a small-town girl from Buda, TX who was living and working in Austin as a nurse. Ricky is an Austin transplant of 16 years working in software sales. After matching with one another on bumble and texting they decided to meet in person. If meeting someone from a dating app in real life was not nerve-racking enough they had to do it in the middle of a pandemic complete with masks and social distancing. They decided to meet anyway.
On the first date, from the moment Gaby sat down Ricky knew she was “the one”. They had deep conversations and talked for hours on the first date and knew there was something different and special about this date. For the next few months they went on romantic dates, road trips, and adventures; quickly falling in love with each other. Then...they got covid.
At 2.5 months into their relationship, Gaby and Ricky got covid and quarantined off from everyone else, only seeing each other. And when Ricky became bedridden with a fever it was only Gaby that could help take care of him and nurse him back to health. It was during this time that they realized how deeply they cared for one another, and they became closer and more in love. It was after covid that they began talking about spending the rest of their lives with one another.
In August of 2021, after getting permission from Gaby’s father, Ricky planned a surprise proposal at a tucked-away garden house in east Austin. When Gaby arrived Ricky blindfolded her and walked her into a transformed garden house with string lights, rose petals, momentos, and a musical string trio. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and she said Yes.
When Gaby & Ricky toured Ma Maison, they instantly knew that was the place for them to say their I do's.

Allison & Harrison met at Washington and Lee University about a week into freshman year. A mutual friend had them look out for each other, and as soon as they met in the University Co-op, they became fast friends. They continued to be very close friends for about two years before they started dating. They got engaged in November 2020 on a picnic at the Menil Collection (in Houston), one of their favorite museums near our house. Allison’s engagement ring once belonged to Harrison's great great grandmother and is over 200 years old. The center stone had been put into a different ring in the 70s, but the original setting and side stones were saved. Harrison had the ring put back together, so it's now 100% back to its original glory!
Allison is from Beaumont, TX, and Harrison is from Houston. They now live in Houston.
Allison is 26 (turning 27 in March) and works as an Account Director for a public relations and digital marketing agency. Harrison is 26 (turning 27 in June) and works as a Financial Analyst at a boutique investment and consulting firm. They both love to cook and snuggle our yellow lab Archie and cat Charlie.
They love cooking, taking their dog on a walk, and visiting museums (especially the Menil, where they got engaged.) Harrison is absolutely obsessed with board games, and I've begrudgingly come around to liking a few of them myself.
Wedding vibe– envision a sort of elegant but slightly laid back vibe - “I want everything to feel very sophisticated and beautiful but not overly formal.”
Wedding Advice: Have fun and don't let work/life stress get in the way of enjoying the planning process! My job is pretty demanding, so it took me a while to really be able to fully immerse myself in the planning process.

Kaitlyn and Nathan were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend Brian in New York City! Nathan went to college with Brian at UT Austin and Kaitlyn did musical theater with Brian in Austin.
Two Texans meeting in New York! We got engaged in January and yes it is a VERY special story because I got engaged at my parent's venue Ma Maison!
I thought I was flying in for the annual open house at Ma Maison and Nathan was staying behind in NY for the weekend. My mom told me we were doing family pictures with my new niece (Harden Grace) so I got my hair done and nails! Little did I know, while napping upstairs, that my future fiance and his family were sneaking onto the property.
The next thing I know, I get a text from my mom saying "get down here for pictures because Harden is having a meltdown!" I got ready in 15 mins (thanks to the help of my baby sister) and we started taking photos. Brittany, our amazingly sweet photographer, said why don't we go over the gazebo/Green Cathedral? As we walked through the Great Hall I realized everyone was listening very intently to my story and then as we crossed to go into the green walkway I noticed two videographers dashing past us. I slowly realized that everyone had fallen behind me and there at the end of the walkway was Nathan. I immediately broke down into tears and my legs wouldn't budge.
Finally, my sister Rachael pushed me towards him and now I looked to the right to see the 50-foot-tall Eiffel Tower! As he walked me in front to the Green Cathedral, there was a perfect Parisian picnic set up (it even gave The Bachelor TV show a run for its money!)
There Nathan told me the four reasons he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me which honestly I can't remember because I was shaking so violently and crying like a lunatic. Next thing I knew he pulled out Tiffany's box (the ring is not from Tiffany's but it's an inside joke from when I was 12) and got down on one knee and asked me if I'd marry him! My response was "Oh my God YES!" and he was "That's so great!" and it really was! We celebrated the evening after taking photos with our two families (who were nearby watching this all unfold). Crave Catering had made an absolutely beautiful dinner and I went to bed thinking, I get to spend the rest of my life with the most amazing man that I love!
Wedding vibe- I just want everyone to have fun! I want to live in the moment and be able to just enjoy it all and take it in with all our family and friends!

We have you been engaged for 7 months, we both had very busy lives out of school, James a Harrier pilot was always on the road and I was in biotech on a plane every week. We were finally grounded with the pandemic and able to focus on family, friends, and finding love. I adopted an 11-year-old dog named Snoopy from Austin Pets Alive, a month prior to meeting James, and used feeding Snoopy as an excuse not to stay out and drink too much on our first date. For our second date James called and asked if he could bring "some friends" when I hung up I thought to myself he meant a bunch of guy friends and thought to myself "this won't work out", but it turned out to be one of his best friends, a couple that had been married 15+ years and I passed the screening test ;) In our short time together we have been through a lifetime of events both heartbreaking, adventurous, and extraordinary, including the passing of a mother, the pandemic, new careers, “Snowpocalypse 2021”, weddings, and a new home and hood.
When you think of a ranch, the first thing that comes to mind is probably Texas. But for us who live in San Francisco and Victoria (a military veteran), our hometowns define what it means to be from "these places." In fact, we spend so much time with each other on either side-of family or friends--whether at their homesites near Houston where he runs his own business while she works as an engineering scientist by day! We also love taking long walks together along murky creeks close by plus frequenting local bars after work
I would describe our wedding style as classic, fun, and festive, more low-key with traditional elements that helped bring our dreams to life, A wonderful blend of nostalgia with fresh new ideas to make it even more special!
Laughter is the best way to reduce stress and enjoy the planning process is to laugh together. When things get overwhelming, take a step back and share a funny story or joke with your partner. This will help you both relax and keep things in perspective and Be each other’s cheerleader during the process.
As for our Honeymoon, Every day is a honeymoon :)
